10 Days Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Beach Holiday offers quality affordable African vacation for solo travelers, couples, and families. In this trip we have prepared a high level of accommodation based on the standard of your trip you wish to experience whether it’s your first time or second visit to Africa. The safari can be tailored to your dates and requirements, whether you may wish to change accommodations from luxury to mid range or even camping. Our 10 Days Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Overview begins with a hotel reservation near Arusha for your first night, followed by 6 days on safari with 5 nights spent at safari lodges and the ‘out of Africa style safari’ tented camps. We can however personalize our tour easily to include the accommodation you will be choosing during your tour plan if you are not interested in our chosen accommodation. All types of accommodation are always available to suit your needs and your program. The program will take you to Serengeti national park, Tarangire national park, Lake Manyara national park, Ngorongoro Crater and finish in the Zanzibar Island to relax at the beach.

10 Days Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kilimanjaro

The first day of your Tanzania tour begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where our Safari guide will meet you and transfer you in a private car to your lodge in the Arusha area, with a pre-safari briefing en route and upon arrival. Any outstanding payments will also be collected. Dinner and overnight at the Arusha Grand Melia hotel.

Day 02: Tarangire National Park

Your wildlife safari begins with a two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its big elephant populations and massive baobab trees. After registering for a few minutes at the gate, you will immediately embark on your first game drive in search of big game, spending the entire day in the bush with a picnic lunch taken at one of the picnic sites. You can expect Tarangire to be a highlight of your Tanzania safari, with plenty of opportunities to see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, gazelles, and the rare gerenuks, as well as cats such as cheetahs, leopards, and lions, as well as the rare fringe-eared oryx. Tarangire National Park is also known for its birds, which include uncommon species such as Ashy starlings and a variety of others. Dinner and overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge. All meals included.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Drive to Lake Manyara National Park after an African breakfast at your lodging for a full day of animal viewing and bird watching at the Alkaline Lake. Lake Manyara National Park is a tiny yet diverse Tanzanian reserve with a lake that covers at least two-thirds of the park. It’s known for its unusual tree-climbing lions that are afraid of the biting insect, and it’s a great place to go bird viewing with over 400 bird species reported.

Enjoy picnic lunches at the picnic location before continuing your Tanzania safari tour with spotting of Lions, Elephants, Flamingos, Zebras, Giraffes, Buffalos, Noisy Monkeys in the bush, Wildebeest, and Waterbuck, among other animals. Exit Lake Manyara National Park late in the evening and drive to Lake Manyara Serena for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Breakfast at the lodge, check out with packed lunches, and travel to Serengeti National Park to register at noon at the main gate. En route to the central Serengeti, stop for a picnic lunch and wildlife viewing in the afternoon and evening. The Serengeti National Park is known for its vast migration of wildebeest and zebras in search of new pastures, as well as its large population of predators. Arrive at Katikati Tented Camp in the late evening for check-in, dinner, a bonfire, and overnight with Tanzania Safari Tour memories of the Serengeti National Park.

Day 5: Full Day In Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, head for a morning game viewing in Serengeti National Park, where you will try to locate the vast migration of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, which will be followed by predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and African wild dogs for an exciting Tanzania safari tour. Visit many Serengeti Kopjes, including the Crocodile-infested Grumeti River, the Hippos Pool, and a game drive along the Mara River in search of more wildlife.

Return to your lodge for lunch and continue making Tanzania Safari trip memories with fantastic scenery. In the late evening, travel back to Central Serengeti Katikati Tented Camp for an optional activity, dinner, and overnight.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

Today’s itinerary includes a half-day of game viewing in Serengeti National Park followed by an afternoon drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy an early breakfast and check out with packed picnic lunches for a game viewing in the central Serengeti, Mawe, and Lobo areas. Enjoy picnic lunches and exit Serengeti National Park with an optional stopover at Olduvai Gorge Museum before driving to farm house lodge in the Ngorongoro Conservancy area for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Zanzibar

After breakfast, depart with picnic lunches for a 6-7 hour game viewing excursion in the Ngorongoro Crater, which is home to more than 25,000 mammals and 30,000 types of fauna and birds. Descend the crater with a spectacular game drive that includes sightings of black rhinos, elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeest, and zebras, among other animals.

Arrive at the crater rim for a more thorough wildlife search, picnic lunches, and ascent of the crater with final Tanzania safari memories. Exit Ngorongoro Crater and travel to Arusha to connect with your flight to Zanzibar .

Day 8 – 10: Zanzibar Beach Vacation

After your safari in Northern Tanzania, it’s time to relax and enjoy Zanzibar’s beaches and all that the island has to offer. Overnight stay at Ocean Paradise Resort on a half-board basis, which includes breakfast and supper.
On one of the days, we may organize a Zanzibar excursion for you at an additional expense. The Spice Island tour, the Stone town tour, the Prison Island tour, the Dolphin tours, and the full-day ‘The Safari Blue tour’ are among the most popular tours.

On day 10, you will be served breakfast at the beach resort, and with checkout at 10 a.m., you can stay at the beach resort until it is time to transfer to the airport for your return flight. (A day room can be offered at an additional cost.)
